These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Vocab Monster (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

Eligibility and accounts

• You must be able to form a contract and be at least 13 years old (or older if required in your region).
• Provide accurate account information and keep your credentials confidential.
• Notify us promptly of unauthorized access or security concerns.

Acceptable and prohibited use

• Use the Service for personal or educational vocabulary practice.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.

Saved data and sync

• Your saved words, progress, and collections may be stored locally and, if you sign in, synced to our backend (Supabase) for backup and multi-device use.
• We may use third-party services (such as Supabase) to provide storage, authentication, and related infrastructure.

Privacy and data

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data. By using the Service, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property and your content

• All rights in the Service, including the interface, code, and branding, belong to Vocab Monster or its licensors.
• You retain rights to your own submitted content, but grant us a limited license to host and display it so we can operate the Service.
• Do not use our trademarks or branding without permission.

Changes and availability

• We may update or discontinue features at any time.
• The Service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance or outages.

Termination

• You may stop using the Service at any time; deleting local data or your account will remove access to synced items.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

• The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vocab Monster is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, or profits.
• Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in that state, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Updates to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
